It is not only a privilege but an honor to be your first president.  My mission is to unite African American women through Literacy and Love.  Ladies of M.E., you have embarked on a journey that will lead to long lasting friendships, career and social development, networking, increased literary involvement, and many memorable moments.  We are committed to making a difference and serving the financial and literacy needs of the youth in our communities.  We as members of M.E. will share our lives and make memories, and have lots of fun while doing so.  Check us out and see what we are all about.

Truly, we are more than just a book club

I wish you all Strength, Courage, & Wisdom

Your President

E. Terrell Tillman

"We write because we believe the human spirit cannot be tamed and should not be trained. "

"I really don't think life is about the I-could-have-beens. Life is only about the I-tried-to-do. I don't mind the failure but I can't imagine that I'd forgive myself if I didn't try."

-  Nikki Giovanni
